Q&A:

How do I test my power supply?

In order to test your power supply, the first thing you will want to try is known as the jumper test, as this will allow us to check the power supply unit without needing it to be connected to any other components from your system.

This process is relatively safe as it does not deal with dangerous voltages, and there should be no need for direct contact with live wires, however please be sure to take any precautions necessary to prevent issues from occurring.

To perform the jumper test:

1.Turn the rocker switch

2.Use a bare metal paperclip, or a wire, to connect the green pin (PS_ON) shown here to any of the black pins (COM or GND):

Note: One pin should be missing on your 24 pin cable and this shows up as N/C in the pinout provide.

4.Make sure your PSU is connected to your main power. (Plug in the wall cable).

5.At this point, you can use the same rocker switch as before to turn the PSU on and the fan should begin to spin which should verify that the power supply has turned on.

If PSU that seems to be unresponsive after this test, please contact the retailer who purchased the product.
